Restaurants

This page links to all my restaurant reviews. Everything has two star ratings, both out of five: the first is for the availability of vegetarian and vegan food, and the second is for the deliciousness of the offerings. For example, * for veggie offerings means that there is only one meat-free dish, and ***** means there are a lot. On the tastiness meter, * means the offerings are decidedly not good, while ***** means I could eat them every day (or at least every week).

I have the list now divided by city and listed by rating.

Los Angeles area

  • Ekkamai Thai Restaurant (***** for veggie options and **** for deliciousness) — my review and their website
  • Green Peas (***** for veggie offerings, *** for tastiness) — my review and their website (which is currently down)

Tulsa area

Oklahoma City area

  • Green Goodies by Tiffany in Nichols Hills, an Oklahoma City suburb (***** for veggie options and ***** for deliciousness) — my review and their website
  • Saturn Grill in Nichols Hills, an Oklahoma City suburb (*** for veggie offerings and ***** for tastiness) — my review and their website

Hey! So glad to have found this – I’m moving back to Tulsa next month and it’s great to see all the options. Have you been to Be Le (Lewis between 61st and 71st)? I go there with my parents every time I visit…

Hey there! Yes, I have been to Be Le. In fact, I thought I’d written a post on it here, but clearly I was mistaken. I’m an infrequent visitor, but it’s such a great option to have here in town.

I second Be Le (so freaking good!) and also have loved Gypsy Coffee House (downtown) when I’ve gone. Gypsy’s vegan food offerings have ranged from good to sparse, depending on when I go, but they always have soy milk for their coffee drinks, and the barista I spoke to was excited to find out that 1/2 a banana = 1 egg (I was talking to her about the possibility of them offering vegan baked goods), since she says they offer bananas, but don’t always sell them before they start to get too ripe.
